Fabulous Summer Potted Plants Ideas

Quick Curb Appeal Projects This Summer

One of the best parts of summer is the beautiful flowers and plants that sprout up, making the earth look colorful and lively. Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of planting flower gardens and plants all around the exterior of their homes, especially if they’re in the process of selling their house. If you’re wanting to liven up your home with some plants, indoor or outdoor, you don’t need a lawn to do so. Potted plants are an excellent alternative to their in-ground counterparts and are much less of a hassle altogether. If you’re on the lookout for some potted plants to place around the inside and outside of your home, we have some ideas.

Geraniums

Geraniums are characterized by their bright, vibrant flowers and can be seen in a lot of gardens in the country. They’re a popular potted plant because of their ability to flourish in containers while also providing a very beautiful appearance. While some types vary in the amount of sunlight needed, most do well with a lot of sunshine, so put them in a place where they can get their fix of rays. If you’re keeping them indoors, make sure the temperature stays between 65-70 degrees.

Spider Plants

With their long, draping leaves, spider plants are a very popular potted houseplant. Most people like hanging their spider plants on ceiling hooks, but they can be placed just about anywhere. While these plants don’t have flowers, their unique leaves make them stand out. Additionally, they can even help purify the air in your home. Spider plants are commonly seen indoors, but keep in mind that they like even soil and brightness. Put them in a place where they can get adequate sunlight.

Winged Begonia

Winged Begonias are a very lovely plant. Not only do they have pretty pink flowers when blooming, but their leaves are also pretty and bright. What’s great about these plants is that they’re very easy to take care of, as they don’t need to be watered too often. They’ll survive in direct sunlight, but if you really want their colors to pop, keep them in a place with some shade. Choose a pot that’s large enough to contain the plant as it grows!

Monstera

Known for their big leaves and bright green colors. Monsteras are an excellent addition to any home. They’re a fairly common houseplant, but if needed outside, they could fare well with a good amount of loving and caring. Like many houseplants, they fare well with a small amount of water every week and a moderate amount of sunlight. What’s great about these plants is that because they’re so popular, there are a lot of resources online on how to take care of them and make them fit into your household!

When it comes to decorating your house, plants can go a long way in making it look and feel more inviting. Further, if you’re trying to sell a house as an owner, then potted plants are an excellent route to take as they don’t require you to compromise the integrity of your home’s soil. This summer, go the potted way and enjoy the colorful plants all around your space!
