Charlsie Ruth Edwards, a faithful loving Christian, passed from this lifetime to her existence in Heaven on December 6, 2021. She was born in Hamlin, Texas on September 3, 1926 to Charles “Dick” and Ruth Edwards. Charlsie grew up on a smaller, dry-land farm choosing cotton after faculty with her sister and brothers. Her daily life encounters there taught her about really hard work and endurance. She attended North Texas State University in Denton the place she majored in interior design and shared a area in a boarding dwelling with her sister Betty Ann (Edwards) Secker. There, she picked up the nickname “Chalkie,” which everybody referred to as her for the rest of her lifestyle. She was proceeded in death by her partner Robert M. Underwood Sr. (1978), her eldest son Robert M.Underwood Jr., (2019), her sister Betty Edwards Secker (2020) and brothers Melvin B. (1978) and Tracy Wayne Edwards (2015).

Chalkie liked entertaining—and checking out with friends and family. Her passion for design was easily obvious in her houses with her treasured Paul McCobb modern-day home furnishings, ordered when she married. She in no way opted to acquire anything else. She loved cooking for a neighbor that dropped in or a home whole of individuals. She was outgoing, loving and caring about all—and loved by so several. She by no means fulfilled a stranger and constantly had a tale to share.
