Interior design tips to help you redesign your home office

Toiling absent at laptops from beds, couches and kitchen area tables could have been suitable when “work from home” became a house term two several years ago — but those kinds of business office setups are not a very long-term answer.

Kristin Pawlak, owner and inside designer at KP Patterns/ Decorating Den Interiors, is aware of the great importance of getting a focused workspace that is not only practical but aesthetically satisfying and personalized. Below, she shares three place of work areas she designed to enable house owners do their greatest get the job done from the comfort of their own abode. 

A Hunter’s Haven

This home office that features an Italian writing desk,  taxidermy animals, hide over rug and antiqued mirror map art is inside a 6-bed, 3-and-a-half bath, traditional-style, two-story home in the Beech Spring Farm subdivision of East Louisville.

When the proprietors of this Beech Spring Farm house weren’t guaranteed how to remodel a dim place of work area into a useful workstation, they turned to Pawlak for help.

“They experienced a whole lot of fake perform carried out in the home, so they ended up debating heading into a multi-layer faux finish to variety of lighten this room,” she advised the Courier Journal. “They have been sort of stymied as to what to do to lighten it up. We (finally) made the decision, let’s just paint it.”
