Things to know about the Home + Garden Show in San Antonio
Whether you are planning a major home renovation or just have a green thumb, you’ll find ideas and tools you can use at the San Antonio Fall Home + Garden Show this weekend at the Alamodome.
“South Texans who either just bought a home and are looking to do a complete renovation, or those homeowners who are looking to spruce up and upgrade any part of the home or yard, there is truly something for everyone,” Lupe Merino, show manager for Marketplace Events, said in a statement.
Here’s what you need to know:
It’s a really big show
More than 200 exhibitors representing top home renovation and garden experts will set up on the floor of the Alamodome. Categories covered include construction and renovation; flooring; heating and cooling; home appliances; home decor and furniture; kitchen and bath; outdoor, garden and landscape; pools, spas and saunas; and even financial experts to help you figure out how to pay for everything.

Here are just a few of the exhibitors: Re-Bath, Olshan Foundation Repair, Astoria Lighting, Home Depot, Bellezza Surfaces, Proforno, Tupperware, Infinity Knife Co., Designer Palms and Blue Custom Pools.
There also will be food from San Antonio vendors, a kids zone, a pet show and plants for sale by Palo Alto College horticulture students.
There are big guests

Joe and Chase Looney, father and son carpenters who have appeared on the HGTV series “Fixer to Fabulous,” will be live onstage at 4 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Sunday. Chase is construction manager on the 3-year-old series, which stars Jenny and Dave Marrs, and he often works with his dad, Joe, on projects.
According to a statement on the Facebook page for his custom woodwork company Chisel and Sawdust, Arkansas native Chase’s passion is “designing and building unique wood pieces, from tables and doors to grand opening archways.”
It’s free for some
Active military personnel and veterans, as well as healthcare workers and first responders, can attend the home and garden show for free today. On Sunday, teachers and faculty members will be admitted for free. Kids 16 and under are free every day.

The San Antonio Fall Home + Garden show runs from noon to 8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Alamodome, 100 Montana St. Tickets cost $8 online and $10 at the door; kids 16 and under are admitted for free.
The Alamodome parking lots will be open. There will be golf carts to take people from their cars to the entrance, and wheelchairs are available for those who need them. People living with disabilities are advised to use Lot A on the southeast side of the Alamodome to access the stadium’s ADA ramp entrance.
